Equens Italia is a Domestic Clearing House (Centro Applicativo) for the Rete Nazionale Interbancaria (RNI).

Equens Italia is the technological outsourcer of the ICBPI Group for its Clearing Center services and ACH for SEPA. Equens Italia application and technological services enable ICBPI to perform routing services for domestic payments, both wholesale and retail. We manage payments and collections built according to domestic inter-banking standards: credit transfer, direct debit (Incassi Commerciali), Fast RID, RIBA, MAV, Check Truncation, etc. exchanged between Banks. In particular, activities include: the acquisition of flows and messages from sending Banks, diagnostic processing and forwarding to target Banks, calculation of interest charges and the production of accounting reports required for reconciliation between Banks.

Equens Italia, as a Service Bureau, also offers solutions to Banks for access to the SWIFTNet network, for the exchange of domestic transactions and for Bi-Rel and Eba Step2 (Xct and SCT).

Equens Italia is a technological partner for development and management activities related to the SDD Schemes start-up and implementing the Payment Services Directive.
