PCI-DSS certification

For the second consecutive year, Equens SpA successfully completed an assessment based on the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
The new certification was obtained according to the rules more stringent for version 1.2.

Card data safety has become one of the most pressing problems concerning payment cards. Visa and MasterCard created the PCI-DSS program establishing a set of requirements and processes adopted by all international payment systems (American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB, MasterCard Worldwide and Visa International). The purpose of PCI DSS is to ensure that sensitive data of the cardholders remains safe.

Equens SpA has successfully completed the Visa AIS program (Account Information Security) through a detailed safety audit of its own systems managed by an independent audit company approved by Visa itself. This audit includes several check-points, ranging from control of the management of card data to the approval process of the safety test.

The PCI-DSS program requires high standards of security and the maintenance of certification requires constant updating and regular audits.

Equens SpA is in the list of certified service providers published by VISA in the chapter "Procedures and guidelines", in the document "List of PCI DSS validated service providers", and on the Mastercard website link "Compliant Service Provider List".
